Tamara Tarrant Smith, EA (“Tammy”)

PRESIDENT

Tamara Tarrant Smith, EA specializes in all aspects of small business accounting (including payroll), and individual, corporate and partnership tax preparation. A graduate of Hickey School for Business in St. Louis, Missouri, Tammy spent three years in public accounting (in Missouri and Illinois) before moving to Florida. She then spent another four years concentrating on tax preparation before becoming an Enrolled Agent in 1991. At that time, she went back to school while working full-time in public and private accounting (medical and construction industries). She graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College before transferring to University of South Florida, where she received her BS in Accounting in 2001. After graduating, she continued in the public accounting area until she started her own business, Accounting For Success, in 2016. In October of that year, she joined the National Association of Enrolled Agents, Florida Society of Enrolled Agents, and the Suncoast Chapter of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents, and within eight months, she was serving as the Secretary for Suncoast Chapter for a two-year term. In 2019, she went on to become Vice President, and in 2020 she also served as the Chairman of the Awards Committee for FSEA. In June 2021 she was installed as the President of the Suncoast Chapter for the 2021-2023 term.

Tammy lives in Tarpon Springs with her dog, Reno, and enjoys raising butterflies, gardening and volunteering in her spare time.


Andrea Javed, EA

VICE PRESIDENT

Andrea Javed, EA came to the United States with her family and graduated at Lecanto High School at the age of 16. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee in 2011 and was awarded with the Golden Bull Awards. In 2016, she was admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. She is currently working on passing the CPA exam.

Right before her college graduation, Andrea started her career with a local CPA firm where she prepares various tax returns. Her areas of expertise are Fiduciary Accounting, Estate and Trust returns, and International Taxation. She is currently working for Carr, Riggs, & Ingram, LLC as a Senior Accountant.

Andrea lives in Tarpon Springs and enjoys spending time with her husband and taking care of their two sons (5 and 6 years old).


Crystal Daus, EA, NTPI Fellow

TREASURER

Crystal Daus, EA received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, magna cum laude, from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in 2013. She received her Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in 2016. A member of Phi Theta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma, Crystal enjoys challenging herself academically.

While in business school, she started working in the accounting industry part time. Crystal has been working at Fredrick James since 2006. In 2015 she started full time as Chief Operating Officer. Crystal’s passion for accounting is rooted in her joy of serving others; using her financial knowledge to positively impact the world through her God given talents and abilities.

In October 2017 she was admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. She recently completed her NTPI Fellow designation.


Julia Rhoads, EA, CPA, NTPI Fellow

SECRETARY

Julia Rhoads, EA, CPA, has been a tax and accounting professional since 1984 when she graduated from USF with an accounting degree and passed the CPA exam. She became an Enrolled Agent in 2000 while working for Sally Lindberg & Associates in Clearwater. She is currently on staff at Sally’s successor firm, Sean Davis CPA PA. Julia enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.


Shannon Sheridan, MSA, EA

IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT

Owner of Eclipse Accounting & Tax located in Palm harbor, Florida, and her greatest honor is being the mother of three beautiful children. She has been in the tax and accounting field since 1998. Shannon specializes in a variety of tax and accounting solutions specializing in the trades.

Shannon has a Master of Science in Accountancy, licensed by the US Treasury as an Enrolled Agent, QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Certified Life Documents Organizer, Accredited Member of the National Association of Tax Preparers (NATP) and the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) and Florida Society of enrolled agents Suncoast chapter (past President and Vice President).

Her firm specializes in the trades offering CFO services to include Tax Strategy, Tax planning, Individual and Business Tax Preparation, Sales and Use Tax, Bookkeeping, IRS Representation, Budgeting, Finance Coaching, QuickBooks Training and Integration and Profit First Business program. She uses her expertise to lead her team to achieve their client’s goals, visions and make an impact in her community.

In her spare time, she loves to travel with her kids, paint on canvas, she enjoys running 5ks, fitness competitions to push herself to be her best self for her family and clients. Her kids and her love the outdoors. They enjoy going blueberry picking, the beach or mountains, fishing, crafts, and board games.
